At OAN Life Church, our core message is simple yet profound: faith, hope, and love. In fact, our motto is “Keep Faith, Instill Hope, Show Love.”

Faith: We keep faith at the center of everything. That means trusting God even in tough times and encouraging each other to grow a deeper relationship with Him. Whether in Sunday worship or Wednesday Bible study, we’re all about building unshakeable faith that moves mountains.
Hope: We believe no situation is beyond God’s redemption. At OAN, you’ll hear messages of hope that inspire you to see beyond present struggles. Meet Dr. Lynda Barnes – A Leader with Vision and Heart
If OAN Life Church feels different – alive, empowering, forward-looking – a big reason is our founder and leader, Dr. Lynda Barnes. Dr. Barnes has a deep connection to faith forged through years of walking with God both in ministry and in the professional world. She’s not only a devoted spiritual mentor but also a seasoned business strategist and counselor who understands that living out your faith isn’t confined to Sunday mornings. Her life’s mission is to empower individuals to fulfill their God-given purpose in every arena – in ministry, mission, and even in the marketplace.
Dr. Barnes often says that church is not just a place you go, it’s something you carry with you. Whether you’re called to preach, to serve your community, or to start a business, she wants to equip you to shine God’s light there. With her compassionate heart and entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Barnes has mentored countless people to get “unstuck” and step boldly into their calling. Perhaps most importantly, Dr. Lynda Barnes leads by example. The Chayil Movement – Strength, Valor, and Transformation
One of the most exciting movements flourishing in our church community is something Dr. Barnes initiated called The Chayil Movement. (Don’t worry, “Chayil” may sound like a fancy word – pronounced kah-yil – but it carries a beautiful meaning!) The word Chayil is Hebrew for “strength, valor, and worth.”
It’s often used to describe a person of noble character and courage. At OAN Life Church, the Chayil Movement is all about helping you discover those qualities in yourself through God’s eyes. It’s a call to rise up in strength, live with valor, and know your worth as a child of God.
So what does this movement look like in action? Imagine a sisterhood (and brotherhood) of believers fiercely supporting one another in faith. Dr. Barnes started the Chayil Movement to give you a tribe of faith-driven sisters who will cheer you on as you rise
It’s a growing community where women (and men!) empower each other to overcome fear, break free from past hurts, and step boldly into their God-given purpose. Through Chayil-inspired Bible studies, workshops, and meet-ups (both in-person and online), people are experiencing real transformation. Minds are renewing – from feeling “not enough” to knowing “I am worthy, capable, and loved beyond measure. Instead of being held back by fear, members of the Chayil Movement are learning to replace fear with faith and take action on their dreams, trusting that God is with them every step of the way.
